Health in Honduras

Well I finally got my invitation to serve with Peace Corps...and they're sending me to Honduras! I leave for our staging on Feb 11th, and then we head to Honduras on Feb. 13th. I'm going to be a health volunteer working in the Child Survival and HIV/AIDS prevention program. I am incredibly excited but I definitely have moments of being absolutely terrified as well. Two years is a very long time to be gone from everything here...friends, family...etc...But I also have a lot of faith in how incredible this experience is going to be. After such a long application process it's pretty amazing to finally be planning for the leave date (although I am NOT looking forward to packing!). I want to try and see as many people as possible before I leave...but everyone better stay in touch when I go! Ill try to use this blog to keep everyone updated on my life but who knows how often that'll happen...
